Working closely with referring physicians and other specialists at St. Louis Children's Hospital, the specialists with the Program in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology are able to address the special gynecologic needs of children and adolescents -especially those with physical or mental disabilities, or chronic underlying health problems.

Adolescents are especially able to benefit from pediatric gynecology's wellness and prevention programs. We cover topics that are especially important to teens:

  • Counseling about the risks of sexual activity
  • Education about abstinence programs
  • Pregnancy prevention
  • Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases
