Diana L. Gray, M.D. is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Radiology. In addition she serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. After her postgraduate training, Dr. Gray joined the WU faculty and several years later became Division Director of Ultrasound and Genetics in the Department of Ob/Gyn. She has been very active in clinical medicine and clinical research and is well published in the prenatal diagnosis literature. Her clinical and research interests include prenatal diagnosis for genetic disorders, use of folic acid for the prevention of neural tube defects, prenatal ultrasound and first trimester screening. She is an ad hoc reviewer for several professional journals in her field. She has served on the Governor’s Genetic Disease Advisory Committee for over 15 years and also serves on a State of Missouri Folic Acid Task Force. In her role as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, she focuses on enhancing the academic environment to enable faculty career success. Dr. Gray has been active in faculty advocacy roles for many years. She was an elected faculty representative to the Faculty Practice Plan Board of Directors for its first six years of existence. She currently co-chairs subcommittees of Academic Affairs dealing with issues of faculty diversity and is one of two medical school representatives to the Chancellor’s Coordinating Council on Diversity Initiatives. She served as co-master of the Cori Society (medical student-faculty society). Dr. Gray has been listed in Best Doctors in America and America’s Top Doctors publications for many years.
