Dr. Nelson has been on the faculty since 1983 and assumed his role as Vice Chair of OB/GYN at Washington University in St. Louis in 1997. His specialty area is Maternal-Fetal Medicine and he is senior member of a joint practice (Collaborative Perinatal Practice, September 1993-Present), with six obstetrical nurse practitioners and five Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists who provide obstetrical care and delivery services for >2,000 patients of low socioeconomic status.
