Dr. Peipert assumed his role as Vice Chair of Clinical Research in OB/GYN at Washington University in St. Louis on January 1, 2006. Prior to this, he was on the faculty as the Director of Research in the OB/GYN Department at Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital for 13 years.  Dr. Peipert is a recognized expert in reproductive epidemiology, sexually transmitted diseases, and family planning, and has held NIH grants in women’s health research since 1996.  He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications related to clinical research in women’s health.  Dr. Peipert is the Director of Washington University’s Family Planning Fellowship and Ryan Residency Training Program.  Dr. Peipert spent four years as a member of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, and has served on the CDC’s Expert Panel to develop Sexually Transmitted Disease Treatment Guidelines.  Dr. Peipert currently serves on the Clinical Documents Review Panel for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, the Advisory Board for the NICHD-sponsored Pelvic Floor Disorders Network, and is Consultant Editor for the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
